How to Turn Your Website into a Lead Vacuum

Posted by Geoff Skadra on Mon, Aug 14, 2017 @ 10:10 AM

An aesthetic web design is nice and all, but your site's main purpose is to generate and convert leads. In this article, I'll explain how to turn your website into a lead vacuum. You'll be getting new customers through your website in no time!

Create Landing pages

Landing pages are the key to getting a user's contact information. A good one has a form to fill out along with something of value to offer. For example, you can advertise a free ebook in exchange for a user's name and email address.

Don't limit yourself to just one landing page. You should have specific ones for different scenarios (a user coming from social media, from Google's SERPs, etc.).

Check out this article for more information on creating an awesome landing page.

Implement a Live chat

A user goes to your site, quickly scans it from the top down, and then receives a message from a sales representative. This is an example of implementing live chat on a website.

Live chat is becoming increasingly popular. You can use a bot powered by AI or backed by a human to get in touch with leads early on to help guide them through the buying process.

Use CTAs

Call-to-actions are necessary to prompt users to make a decision -- to contact your business or not -- and remind them of what your company has to offer. You'll often see them on landing pages, but there's no reason you can't sprinkle CTAs all over your site. You can also add them to your social media posts to engage your followers.

Develop Informative videos

In addition to your other pages, it also helps to include a short two-minute informative video on your site's homepage. This gives users a quick introduction to your business and everyone loves a helpful video. Just don't set it to auto play. Give users the chance to start it on their own time.
